Eleanor's Birthday

Aran's best friend's daughter Eleanor turned 5 this weekend.. we went up to Delta to celebrate this wonderful occasion.. Now these parents are smart, as there was a HUGE jumpy thing on the lawn that after the kids got tired of jumping, the adults took over!! The two best friends after a couple of drinks, reminising about the day they became friends.. Matt can recall that day, minute for minute, step for step.. we laughed so hard.. ask Aran about that day someday..

Eleanor and Alice have these amazing chairs and a little one for Lilja.. she loved it and I think felt like a big girl..One of these days we'll get her a big one like theirs with her name on it.. But this one was the right size for now.. plus she really liked the Dora the Explorer on the back of it. We were allowed to take that one home, and that was the first thing Lilja sat in at home.. she gets all excited ,waving her hands up and down.. p.s notice the "halo" around Eleanor's head.. she looks like an angel.. ;)

We really had a great time. Alice and Eleanor played so sweet with Lilja. Alice, I think liked that Lilja was her size and wanted to be friends so bad.. following her around giving her toys..We caught those two a couple of times standing next to eachother at a toy just laughing at eachother.. I think they will be great friends when they get a little older and Lilja can really play with them..

I LOVE it when i find a great toy for almost nothing at a garage sale.. perfect size for Lilja, she can even put her feet on the legs.. rocking back and forth..

the ears have a button that you push and it makes music.. Lilja tries to sing with the music in tune.. American idol anyone??? Everyone calls Lilja a "doll".. well this picture definitely shows those big eyes..

Bear loves to swing...

Lilja had a late nap this afternoon so we knew she would be awake a little later than usual. We took out the little swing and had some fun.. But Lilja only liked it for a couple of minutes, so "Bear" ended up swinging in there for a while.. lilja loved that a lot..

Zoe comes and stay with us every now and then.. She is amazing with Lilja and they are become fast buddies.. here I think they are trying to "high five" eachother

Lilja's first toothbrush

We want to make sure that little tiny tooth will stay nice and healthy, so we bought a toothbrush yesterday.. Lilja chose her own... ofcourse it is pink!..

Just practising right now, at story time and in the playbox.. she loves chewing on it.. we think the second tooth is on it's way.. Hurry up little tooth...

balloons are so fun

Lilja LOVES balloons.. she shakes them really fast on the string and just wants to love them up until they pop.. this time, her tooth did the final deed..



Oh no, it popped.. from big to little.. Lilja looked dissapointed..
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted..

this morning, Lilja and Maggie were having a "conversation" together... I think it went something like this: Lilja :Maggie? why are you always looking out the window??

Maggie: Well, If I look long enough those weird birds will be coming again....

Maggie wispering: "Shhht.. see there they are, just stay really quiet.. "

p.s note on the lawn are the biggest turkeys I have ever see.. sometimes there can be a flock of 60!!!

I dogsat for the weekend and Aran just finished chopping all the wood for the winter.. now it is time to relax.. hanging upside down, loving up Bear and trying on winter clothes.

Lilja LOVES this Bear.. we call him... wait for it... Bear!!! she snuggles with him and gives him kisses.. she completely lights up when I give him to her.. I think Lilja has a new lovey!!

p.s look closely and you can see tooth number one..

I am trying to go through all the clothes we have gotten for Lilja to see what we have already for the fall and Winter... some are still too big, others she has outgrown without even wearing them.. I hope this hat still fits when winter arrives.. she loved shaking her head when she had it on..

The last couple of days included rafting, swimming at the Rec Center and just hangin out playing horse shoes and badminton..Lilja really got to know her Aunt and Uncle and her cousins.. here are some great photo's of the family with Lilja. i will post the rafting photo's tommorrow..
