kelli, brad and the boys.

We stayed again with our friends Kelli, Brad and their boys Kade, Cole and Carson. Wow, they are getting so big, and they dotted over Lilja. We told them they had to figure out amongst themselves who is going to marry Lilja in the future.. :) We ended up going home with a truck full of toys. a climbing wall and slide, a car, and a kitchen to name a few!! Thanks guys!! we had such a great time.

The boys fill up a marble jar for good behaviour and chores done. So this night they wanted to camp out.. in the bedroom!! Great idea kelli!!

Lilja and jasmin

We met Jasmin, Lilja's tummy mommy this weekend at the Cherry Creek Mall. There is this great play area and Lilja just had a great time. She became a great climber. Jasmin was as always so sweet and funny and Lilja really took to her. Thanks Jasmin for being so wonderful, we are so lucky to have you in our lives..!

Lilja loved this slide, she just kept climbing with her bare feet all the way up and then laid down and slide down.

Lilja is starting to say "cheese" when you take a picture.. thus this cute one. Now you can see where Lilja gets her cuteness from.

last day with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson

Today we walked downtown Durango with Lilja is tow.. She doesn't want to be in your arms anymore, but wants to walk everywhere and really likes to hold your finger..just for a little while and then... there she goes!!

Kisses for maggie

Lilja is really infatuated with Maggie's nose and eyes and likes to point them out. Today she really wanted to give her kisses. Maggie just layed there trusting me that Lilja would not hurt her..

Oh Maggie, you are getting so white around your face ,your 8 years are showing..

what does nini say??

Lilja knows pretty much every sound of every animal.. here is the lowdown.. nini is a konijntje which is a rabbit in english.. she also knows the sounds of a whale(woooh), owl(hoot), dog(woof), kittycat(miauw), elephant(toot), bird(tweet), mouse(peep peep)and fish. we were trying to have her show her moving her nose up and down like a bunny but she did not want to do it.. the open and closing of the mouth at the end is a fish..priceless!!!

walking in the snow

we woke up to a couple of inches of new snow.. so we went for a walk with grandma and grandpa..this is our new backpack, it is awesome!! it even has a rain guard and canopy. Lilja loves to jump in it while I walk and enjoyes seeing everything from a higher view.

Can you see her top tooth peeking through. Finally!! another tooth through. This poor child will probably get them all at once now, as all her gums are pretty red and puffy. Still she is a happy girl even when she is not feeling good.

discovery museum

We took Lilja to the new Discovery children's museum here in Durango.. yes, we have one now. It is the old powerplant and will open next Wednesday.. however, members could come today. With grandparents in tow we thought it would be fun to become members and join in on the explorations.. I am so impressed. it was a lot of fun and Lilja really enjoyed herself. This is going to be fun, especially when school is out and we will be stuck at home again..

This is a kind of rain experience.. they are plastic sheets that you walk through with the sound of rain. Interestingly enough, Lilja loved it..especially when daddy went with her.

There was an area for the little ones too. These noodles could be made into any tunnel.

we will definitely have fun coming here..

good morning

Lilja wakes up smiling and goes to sleep smiling.. she was a Hoot this morning.. no pun intended. (she LOVES owls.)

Grandma and Grandpa!!

Aran's parents are here for the weekend and Lilja warmed up to them right away.. it's nice to know that eventhouh they are far away, she remembers them and is comfortable with them even after a couple of months not seeing them

I know I'm cute!!... and smart too!!

We had buffalo steaks, twice baked potatoes and salad for dinner.. lilja wasn't interested in the salad, but the bowl was a lot of fun.. love the stare that she has going on.. right now she is already asleep.. after a full and fun filled day with Grandma and Grandpa!!..

bubbles and Zoe

This morning Lilja and i stayed home a little later instead of working-out, as she is still not feeling 100%.. so we ended up playing with bubbles.. Zoe, our guest dog ( once in a while) LOVED the bubbles too.. I got the video on a little too late, but I think you can imaqgine Lilja giggling everytime Zoe got a bubble..

What a weekend!

Aran's best friend Matt, his wife Jacci and their two daughters Eleanor (5) and Alice (2) came and visited us this weekend.. The girls got along so good. Lilja looked up to the girls and seemed so much more like a toddler when she played with the big girls. Especially Eleanor really took to her and became her big sister. She couldn't stop kissing and hugging on her. . Lilja was a little off after her shots on Friday, but she was a trooper..

The little house was a big hit with the girls.

The girls were supposed to sleep in Lilja's room while Lilja slept with us. We took Lilja's big girl bed out of storage and wow!! what a fun time they had jumping on the bed.. The sleeping arrangments did not all go as well as planned, but we did have a fun and exciting time with the Dare family.. It's definitely NOT boring having them around :)

Tumbling Babies

Today I brought the camera with me to Tumbling Babies.. Usually Lilja will be in Childcare behind that big curtain, but when they have a small group ( 4 babies today) Lilja can just come join us..
here she is trying out the mats..It was set up like a slide so the babies could crawl on it.. lilja loved that she was 'siding" (sliding down).


Shaking the parachute is one of Lilja's favorite things to do.. the other??? turning on my music in the middle of an activity and then start dancing.. today we followed her cues a little bit.

We throw the balls, but here they all wanted to taste them ;)

sorry we have not posted any photo's or videos.. we have been house sitting for a family and did not bring the camera or the computer.. but we should be getting back on track.. here is Lilja, happy to be home, playing IN her box of toys..
