pigs and ducks...

sorry not a real blog from this weekend.. I went to denver for a Love and Logic parenting conference ... all by myself!! ( I am a instructor for those classes, but always want some new info)This was the first time without Lilja for three days!! we both did great.. Lilja went on a playdate while Aran went riding and my friend was mentoning how cute Lilja looked as Daddy had dressed her..she said something abot Lilja having pigtails in... hmmm is this what she meant??

little Missy

Ou neighbors Ted and Jean lost their sweet dog JD a couple of weeks ago.. he died very suddenly. I knew Jean would not be without a dog very long, and tada!!! here she is .....Missy.. she is so tiny!! We had met her last week already, but Lilja wanted to go see her.. so we stopped by. Lilja still needs to learn a lot about being gentle with such a tiny puppy, as maggie will tolerate anything.. so we'll stop by every so often. Lilja surprised me during this visit.. First she asked Jean to pick her up.. and then she went over to Ted and gave him a big hug.. It looks like she knows these two are very special people..

Lilja is really turning into a daredevil.. i think I will be signing her up for gymnastics as soon as possible.. she has no fear... poor daddy!!!

on top of the hill

More snow is supposed to come this week, so we took the dogs up the hill this morning.. Lilja walked for a little bit, but it was pretty slippery and deep and the walking was very slow..., luckily we bought the backpack and a granola bar.. that way she will stay in there, otherwise she wants to "walk all by myself".. daddy made it fun though..

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Arab and I are not really good Valentine's people..Funny enough though we both gave something to Lilja.. go figure..Any balloons are a huge hit with Lilja and this one stayed pretty low to the ground.. She went crazy!!

We were at the children's museum today, but the most fun she had was playing outside on the rocks.. go figure!! I did help Lilja climb on the rock, but she fell off, my fault!! poor thing.. But I put her right back on top of it and she was ok then... She is not afraid of much, she just needs my finger for some support.

playdoh fun

LOTS of playdoh videos today.. we had such a great time this afternoon. We first went to the children's museum this morning, as Aran started his training for bikeriding again.. then she took a 4 hour nap!!!now we are playing with our new playdoh.. she was all talks so I could not chose just one of these videos .. sorry!! not really ;) as I know there are some people that just can't wait for these!!

our brothers are back

The five brothers are back, probably confused with this weather.. I think if you look hard you can see two, the others are coming from the left.
Lilja has been watching Pooh, thus the rumbling.. she means that they are hungry.. How her mind works!!

Dribbel...

Lilja has a couple of favorite videos she watches.. ofcourse always Dora.. but one of her other favorites is Dribbel.. A dutch video about a little dog that helps the reindeer find the sleigh of Santa Claus.. she still asks for it eventhough X-mas is over.. and pretends to talk in Dutch. Today I found her singing with the video.. sooo cute!!
ps her last normal tooth is coming in, (three of them just came in within the last two weeks)thus the chewing on her finger.. now only those big morals..but they will come later, I am glad when she is done!!

Walking doggies at the beautiful ranch.. I got wiser and put Lilja's snowsuit on.. this way her bum did not get cold as she loves to SIT in the snow..

Today was kind of a snowy day so we ended up at the Rec center. It was only 9 o'clock when we got there and we were the only poeple there for a while.. so nice and quiet..Lilja was a little timid in the beginning, but ended up testing her boundaries pretty well.
