last weekend before going to Holland!!

OK here is the last post before Lilja and I's big trip to Holland. Aran, his parents and his brother will join us a week later. I had to house sit for Caroline again as her dad is very ill and actually they are staying in Austin as he will probably pass away this week. But we did have some great time at the house. Walking the doggies in mud, mud mud and rinsing off in the new hot tub!!   

Lilja is loving the hot tub, we have played in there every day! She is looking like such a young lady in this picture!!

The Southern Ute Indian Tribe Children' health Fair was this weekend. Here is Danielle (Aran's assistant) making sure Lilja is fishing for some good stuff

Beading is one of Lilja's favorite thing to do.. Her small motor skills are amazing.. such tiny beads and Lilja can string them in a tiny string.. Great job!!

So here we go.. First Lilja and I will meet Opa and Oma and Tante brigitte in Holland and then we are travelling to Belgium where we rented a house near Brugge. Aran and his family will join us that next week. Aran's big ride  of the Tour the Flanders is Easter weekend AND we will all be together. So fun!! Can't wait!! Bear with me as I will not be able to post easily, but I will try :)

We did a lot this week and weekend. so check out these fun photos..

The new library has a story time with the fire men.. Ofcourse we all wanted to hear... the stories ;)



There also was a fire woman.. she showed us how to put their gear on and how she would look if she would come and find you in a burning house. I liked how they really focused on them not being scary for the kids..



The two best friends

The children's fair was this weekend and the theme was "around the world" Here Lilja and daddy are making a book from Japan.

Maddie and Lilja made crowns and flowers too.

Lilja aslo made a mask with LOTS of sparkles!!

and you will see an adorable video on the next post. They were doing Zumba classes for kids and Lilja and Maddie really participated. with their crowns on!

12 days of Christmas in march

we still had some books from the library since x-mas as the library did a big renovation and we could keep them for this long.. so we read for the last tiem a.... x-mas book :)

visiting James

This weekend we went to see James, Lilja's birthdad in Denver. We stayed at Shawndell's house for maybe the last time as they are moving back to Durango and we had fun playing at the Cherry Creek Mall on Saturday. Aran got a ride in (before his big ride in Belgium) and he got  a new bow.. so lots of things happened this weekend . Besides our snowy/haily/windy ride there, everything else went great.  

cherry creek play area.. waiting for daddy.. Lilja had a blast. she is pretty passive, but seems to start making friends here and there.. Kind of an onlooker, but then becomes chatty with the kids after a while

After she goes down the slide, she will come hopping over to me and says" mom, I am having so much fun"    bounce, bounce bounce...



she is starting to like slides..



her first experience with an escalator.. frozen!! and giggling..

Lamby helped keeping her balance.. yep, lamby is still around. 



Then on Sunday we met James at a very fun "Little Monkey Bizness" play area.. It has lots of bouncy houses and a coffee shop in it.. I swear I am looking into this fanchise for Durango.. anyone want to go in on it with me??



James was relaxed, so sweet and patient with Lilja. She was really engaging and they even played on the slides together.



Lilja told me Sunday night that her favorite part of the day was pushing James down the slide "that was so fun"



Look at that face!! yep, she got james to go climbing all over that bouncy house.. very entertaining to watch :)

We had to leave right after having lunch because a 6 hour drive is a loooong time with a three year old.. luckily Lilja was pooped and slept a little during the trip. She is just such an amazing traveler.. She did get slap happy after a whlel.. we just joined in.. :) see the next video


Thanks James for joining us this weekend. I ma glad it worked out. It was fun seeing you play with Lilja and I am glad she is enjoying playing with you too.
