getting ready for Fall!!

Lilja has been a little "momma's girl this week.. so if you can't change them join them.. So extra loves today.. I thought a stay home -jammy day would do the trick!! and it seems to work!!

Aran went hunting this weekend and ofcourse there was the biggest storm ever!! don't mind him hunting but would love to hear his comforting voice now and then.. Lilja and I survived though and the hail was fun to play in..

the weather is strange here right now. Very cold in the morning and then pretty warm during the day.. That's call fall right?? Lilja chose her little poncho to keep her warm.. Thanks Brigitte, this is perfect for this time of year!! Just a disclamer: Lilja is picking out her own clothes and is loving pink right now.. so you will see a pink girl 'every day" !plus she wanted 7 clips in her hair!! all different colors.. I am supermom!!!

Lilja's first pedicure

Ok Lilja had her first pedicure today.. no not a full on pedicure, but a filing, a bubble bath for her feet and a beautiful color on her toes with sparkles on them. She went with her best friend maddie who just turned three years old. They did wonderful.. A little in awe I think at first, but the guy did such an amazing job with such little persons. it is funny to watch Lilja pick out her color. Maddie right away chose purple, because that is her favorite color.. Which color would you think Lilja picked.. Turqoise? pink? I would think so too, but nope.. Silver.. she is really loving silver and gold lately.. i can't keep up!!

Oh which one to chose.. she had such a hard time chosing.

Filing those tiny toes is a hard job I know!! Lilja's toes also curl up so Joe had his work cut out for him. he was so gentle and sweet to them.

Our little imprompt trip to Grandma and Grandpa

Lilja and I went to Minnesota to celebrate the pending nuptials of one of Aran's cousins. Aran could not go as he thought he would be hunting (however, he got his elk last week) but a friend of his was going to Arizona for a once in a lifetime elk trophy hunt.. so what is a hunter to do?? Plus he is going in November hunting with his dad, so Lilja and I went by ourselves. Lilja was so excited to go back on a plane. i think we are making her into a true traveler..And I can truely say she is an amazing traveler, she is so fun always amazed at the planes, talks to the people around her and is just silly and fun to be around. We can do this all the time !!



Lilja waiting for the plane.. we went on Frontier that has animals on the wing.. she tried to think of names for them. The two Hello Kitty's are from brigitte and they ofcourse had to come with us..She is turning into a Hello Kitty girl!!

Lilja was a little under the weather in the beginning of the week and I was so worried about ear infections ( that's usually what happens when she is sick) s a lollipop was my trick for her clearing her ears inflight. she was very worried about the safety of the plane.. and really wanted to know what we had to do if the plane had an accident.. This girl is too smart for her own feelings!!



Lilja was very excited to see Grandpa.. she was pretty wiggly and ended up just making grandpa a jungle gym.. Looking at grandpa's face, he did not mind )



It was ptetty late when we were done with dinner. Now we had a two hour drive down to the house.. Lilja was getting tired and pretended to sleep with lanby on grandpa's back

During the day, there was a great playground nearby Great-grandma's house.. Love this photo of lilja.. she is so intend to hang there for a while.

Hinding in the sade, it was pretty hot in Minnesota.. and humid at that.. look at those curls coming out

Lilja has a cousin that is adopted from Korea.. She was so excited to see him. I asked her what she loved about Tae.. she said: I love that he has the same color hair as me and that he is my couuuuusin!

The two cousins. Lilja got two dollars to buy something at the Farmers market.., she got a beef stick and a carrot.. Love that she loves healthy stuff too!!  (her favorite is candy, to my dismay ;$)

Grandma and grandpa have a pizza oven and held a pizza party for about 60 people for Kyra and Josh's wedding party.. Lilja could make her own pizza!!

Grandma and grandpa's house is amazing. Aran grew up there and I look around and see this amazing property where kids can just runand play.. lots of acreage and apple trees galore.. Lucky guys. Lilja really wanted to pick some of the apples. The photos are kind of grainy as it was late at night, and she is in my arms.. yep, doing two things at the same time, mommy style!!

Storytime with Grandma and grandpa.. This book, "I love you when" is a new addition to our affirmation books. Lilja has been a little nervous about me leaving her.. so the love books are coming out.

Delayed in Denver, again!! that's the one hard part about traveling, as you try and get times and flights perfect for a three year old to handle.. but it never goes that way!!Luckily we have a backpack full of fun things to do .. just in case.. these pencils she got from Brigitte.. great present!! 

One hour delayed.. 20 times down the walky, escalator thing.. then she passed out in the plane to Durango!! yes!!

Last weekend with Tante Brigitte :(

We had to bring Brigitte back to the denver airport, it was a fast there and back trip, but we did get to do one fun thing .. the butterfly pavilion. It was smaller than we thought it would be, but that was probably because both Brigitte and I are deathly afraid of spiders, and there was a "spider" wing. So it was probably a bigger venue than we saw. :)Lilja really liked the butterflies.. it was hard for her not to tough them, but the liked blowing on them so they would open their wings ( that was allowed by our very talkative guide). Her favorite though? the star fish that she could touch.. The butterfly wings were her idea.. too cute!!

Lilja does not let many people hold her when momma is around.. Brigitte is one of those special people!!e

Fun time with Tante Brigitte.

Brigitte is the perfect Aunt.. she does silly things, is Lilja's confidant and "protector" and is the most patient person around. Very impressed with my sister!!

Practising our biking in anticipation for Lilja's new bike she will get from my parents.. a BIG girl bike with no training wheels.. She is getting the hang of it, but still needs lots of practise.. Yes, that purple dinosaur is one of Lilja's presents from my sisiter... One of them!!

The purple dinosaur is a "stuffit" it has lots of pockets and holes in it to put her jammies and toys in there.. it also has a little book and stickers in it.. Yep, Brigitte is the sticker holder.
