oh how I love my life!!

I really do love my life!! and yesterdays was one of those days when I realize how much I love my job!! Don't strain your eyes to see Lilja in the first photos because she is not. she had a playdate with a little girl named Kara and had a wonderful time. I have taught Tumbling Tots now for over 15 years and 6 years for the tribe. Yesterday the Boys and Girls club was on the other side of the curtain as the school is being moved , so no school for the kids.. Well, about 6 kids were watching us at the sidelines and started to copy what we were doing.. OK, if you know me well, I love my class a certain way and do not enjoy any distractions, especially for the real tiny little kids. But these kids were not really distracting, they were just bored, so I asked them to leave or join us.. ( love and logic wink wink) and they wanted to join us.. I gave them some boundaries and told them to pair up with a little one.. ( ofcourse after some talks with the teachers ) I just want to let you know I had almost tears in my eyes.. they were so gentle and sweet with the kids. The little ones loved it too and this might become a future collaboration with boys and girls club. Just love it!!

Lilja had not tried to skate, but while we are talking she is trying to push the chair like we have been doing..

Examplary!!!

The ice on Vallecito is amazing and I finally could join Lilja and Aran in their adventure. We brought chairs, lunch and hot chocolate (ofcourse) and had a wonderful time just playing on the ice. Lilja is not fond of these ice skates, but she is getting better.

they also met a woman ice fishing.. Lilja talked about the dancing fish all week. She was kind of disappointed we did not see her today.

Today we all three went, and what a blast!! Here Aran is turning Lilja around in the chair.. I got a turn too, but that did not turn out so well...

Yep, her 6 months cleaning is here again.. Lilja said Dr. Jeff the dentist was her favorite guy.. and then she added and daddy.. Pfeww, lucky daddy. ,

why were there no posts for a while?? this is why!!

We finally got new carpet.. Grandma and Grandpa Johnson gave us an amazing monetary gift for x-mas and with that money we decide to beautify our floors.Hardwood floors would have been amazing, but our house is pretty cold during the winter months and we were worried with a 4 year old and two dogs, that those would get ruined. So we decided on a pretty dark, gray/tan and ivory very plush carpet. To save some money we told the carpenters we would tear out our own carpet. Easily said than done. You do not realize actually how much stuff you have and where to put it!! We started on our bedroom and that was easier done than we thought. But the living room and Lilja's room were a lot harder.. The hardest part?? all those stupid little staples !!! Lilja was a trooper (my babysitter had sick kids so canceled)her little space got smaller and smaller..but about 8 pm the night before we were done. Luckily we had to house sit, so we had a place to stay..

and the finished product.. the dark walls will be getting painted  light now that the carpet in dark and a new couch is coming soon. This is a domino effect though, because now lots of things are screaming for new life!! Bear with me, honey!! .

this weekend

Met Aran for Lunch on Friday and we had a picnic at the playground. This playground is so fun, lots of climbing for Lilja

she is determined to get all the way up top.. let's see how she is going to do that.

Lilja and I have been collecting rocks that are shaped like hearts for the last couple of months.. Try to find some.. it's hard !!

today was Mommy, daughter day.. s we painted the rocks with real grown-up paint.. she was so impressed abut that one..

it started all because of the book ;" I love you when" in which all the pages have rocks in it that are painted.

here are the results.. they did end up getting some sparkles on them too, ala Lilja!!
