opa and oma are here...

Every year my parents come all the way from Holland to celebrate Lilja's birthday.. it is always a wind whirl of events.. so get ready because here is a whole weeks worth of activities, photos and events. The Blog has been changed and the photos seem to load opposite of the timeframe, so sorry for the confusing back and forth of activities.

Lilja got this beautiful bike from my parents for her birthday last year.. she really wanted to show Opa how good she has been riding.. well, she took off!!



she is pretty serious here, as it is a little hill down.. clutched hands and going 1 mile per hour.. she got off her bike and walked the rest of the way.. I guess she is not a dare devil :)

 



Lilja is pretty used the the haircutter now.. she gets a "curly girl " cut which takes a little longer than a normal cut.. Those curls need good taking after.. This is the first time she let the hairdresser put her under the dryer.. Love the crossed legs

 

Playing Koala with Opa was one of Lilja's favorite things to do today.. Here she is waiting for Opa to get her.. Love how she looks at him..

remember the hill we always talk about and make so many pictures of.. well, today Lilja walked all the way up all by herself.. Ran up actually!! and ran down!!

This year Aran and I felt a swing set was the best present for Lilja.. she loves to swing and would be able to do it with her friends.. so we made one.. well, actually Aran did. and then My parents bought her the swings.. One normal one and one that is called the spinner.. it holds 3 kids easily!!

We had her birthday party this weekend. It was small, just 5 kids, (because she tuned 5) and that was the perfect amount of kids to do an artproject with. We decorated canvas bags that they could take home as trick or treat bags.. They turned out great!!The we had lunch and attacked a piñata!

Lilja wanted a Koala cake.. and Oma and I delivered.. Let's just say they could only eat the head part.. he ears and nose were donuts.. old ones :)

visit with Denver and getting ready for Halloween

I love this time of year, the changing of the leaves, animals coming to find the last flowers to eat and getting ready for Fall. If you ask Lilja why she loves fall she would answer, because it is my birthday.. yep she thinks the whole month of October is her birthday..

we went to see jasmin in Denver last weekend and made it a little mini vacation. We ended up seeig kelli and Brad and the boys for the weekend and Lilja just had a blast. She must have jumped on this trampoline for three hours.



We met Jasmin and her boyfriend Eric at the Museum of Nature and Science. I would say probably the coolest museum to date that I have seen. There was a Space Odyssey area...

I feel that Lilja is starting to look more like Jasmin the older she gets.. Really neat to see..

We also saw some friends of ours.. Shawndell has some chickens and ducks that lilja could summon with a flute.. yes, they came running!!

This weekend we spend some time with liljas best friend maddie and her litte sister, baby Kate..
