Ready for spring

Today was a gorgeous day we instead of skiing we went bike riding for the first time again. Lilja was a little apprehensive in the beginning, but got her confidence pretty soon there after . She is a go getter and wanted to go farther than last year .

Her ballet class is doing great. She is loving it . She wants to be a ballerina when she grows up instead of a veterinarian. . Ohoh we are in trouble..

Happy valentine's day part one

Our valentine's day started with cards, chocolates, heart pancakes and coffee. Then lilja got a gem finder and a fun balloon. Chocolate strawberries and yummy dinner coming up.. all lilja's iseas.. she is a little romantic.

The balloon was a real hit .. 

The chocolate strawberries were....ok . There was more chocolate on lilja then on then berries .

We got lilja a gem finder . This was a sandstone that has 6 little gems hidden in it. Lots of pounding and patience and six real little gems were found. 

It took all morning, but there they are

The last couple of days, lilja and I joined a friend of mine and her girls in a fun skiing adventure . Lilja loved to show them how to classic ski, but she definitely dies not want to wait .. she W ts to go fast . Try and explain to a 6 year old to be a team player and help out the slowest girl.. hopefully she will get het one of these days

After skiing she got her curly girl cut again.. yes, the best cut there is .  Still want to grow her hair like repunzel, but we could get some more layers in it. It is so long .

Team leader making sure her team stayed together .. very hard concept for this 6 year old that just wants to go fast .  She was not having it.

Oh yes, the smile of a kiddo that just loves to ski !!

Lilja is really loving her ballet class. Especially because they will do a huge recital at our big concert hall. The teacher already showed them their cistume, and oh my goodness , she will truely look like a ballerina. Here they are learning how to leap.

weekend fun

Lilja asked if she could have a valentine's party and I was ready to have some artsy fun. So we invited all her besties for a Sunday morning valentine making party. The girls started with decorating their own cupcake, made by lilja and then they made heart cards for their families . 7 girls came over, within two hours, yes I always set a time frame, the girls jumped on lilja's bed, had a pillow fight, took out every toy lilja had, listened to every katy perry song and sang with it on the top of their lungs and must have shut her door 20 times .. wow, are the teenage years already here ? Lilja also had some homework.. she had to chose something that would fit in a zip lock bag times 100! it is their 100rd day of school. Lilja chose the sparkles from our art morning .. it was a looong time counting !!

Lots of sparkles, letters and photos for the cards . They turned out really cute .

All her real good frieds. Two are missing but this is a very cute sweet group of girls.

Lilja got a full size bed today.. we are all excited .. especially us as we will not fall of her bed anymore reading stories and lilja because now more big eyed animals can fit on her bed..lilja and I went shopping for new sheets ( the pink comforter she got for xmas and luckily was already a full size ) I was steering her to some turqoise sheets for a matching set with her curtains. But oh no, this little 6 year old has her own interesting taste .. zebra stripes and a black pillow .. is she already a teen?? Usually I can persuade her easily.. but not this time .. plus i felt that this is her room.. and her ideas .. so i let her chose at the end.  When we got home and everything was set up.. lilja said:" See mom,  how cute this looks, it does not always have to match".. oh snap !!  

go broncos.. kind of

Lilja was sick on wednesday and Thursday .. but by Thursday she was climbing the walls .. definitely not sick anymore . So what do we do to keep lilja busy.. we make a broncos shirt . On friday the kids got to wear broncos colors in honor of the superbowl. Well, lilja made her own shirt . She had her own idea of peace signs and hearts . I think it turned out pretty good and so fun .

snow again !!

We got a nice little storm coming through this last week and lilja was loving it ... again. This time the snow was good enough for a little snow man... a real little one .

Ofcourse it had to be a snowgirl.. all pinked up
