Remodeling !!
Finally we are tackling the kitchen. With some amazing monetary gifts from both families we are doing a complete remodel; new stoce, hood, cabinets countertop and floating shelves . To save money we dud the demo ourselves .so proud of my husband who did about 80 %of the work all by himself . I was the assistent and cleaner upper . This week a contractor will finish the drywall . They we can start painting and receive the countertop and cabinets . Can't wait for the final outcome !!

the science fair
This year we got pulled into doing the science fair. you actually had to be in 2nd grade but my friend had a younger child that also wanted to participate so she asked if Lilja wanted to do it too. So we did after we understood what it entailed . Lilja let us know she wanted to do a science project about what kind of treats dogs like best. She tested three dogs; Pip, Leon and Barney and make them smell three different kinds of treats; bacon cheese and Apple. To our surprise all the dogs loved cheese instead of bacon. Which was lilja's hypothesis. At the science fair Lilja was pretty nervous in the beginning but after her judging , she also presented to all the elementary school classes and her own first grade class and she did amazingly well . We are so proud of her !!

| Lilja was pretty quiet at her judging presentation , she did cone in second place ..from two first grader ..but she did really good . At the end of the day she was way more comfortable and even asked the kids if they had any questions. Sassy girl ! |

100 mile running club
So lilja really wanted to join this running club. Twice a week at 7:15 am !! Yep, very very early in the morning, but what can I say against lilja wanted to run all the way to pagosa springs (they run about 3 miles every morning and will add them up . She is still liking it . me ??too early !!

Instrument discovery day
This weekend was another instrument discovery day . Last year she wanted to realky learn the flute, this year it was the clarinet .. we discovered that lilja has some lungs on her and that each and every teacher of "wind" instruments want to see her in a couple of years . The clarinet, the saxophone and especially the tuba!!
