Last week !!

Still pretty busy ..one more month of summer . Rodeos, hair coloring and water play. Lilja seems to be loving her summer ..especially when her friends are around .

New haircut for school plus a streak of blue.. just temporary !! 

We are house sitting and this time lilja really wanted to help the ranch hand in the early morning..mucking, feeding the animals and riding in the tractor .. me?? I have been running the dogs all by myself ..loving it !!

Had to post this video of Pipster !! He seems to just float ..he loves to swim, but gets run over by the big dogs a lot. Just such a tiny guy.

My great friend Danalee bought a boat this year and we got invited to go tubing. this was lilja's first time tubing and she had a blast . She just wanted to go faster and faster . When she went by herself she ended up getting dumped upside down. But when she bobbles back up she had a big smile on her face . I was very impressed with her, as I thought she would be a little scared . But tiday she showed me her daredevil side as she wanted to go faster and faster ..then..we got rained on, no let's call it dumped on. On the water, in rain and lightening! we ended up seeking shelter under some trees but got soaked . Again the girls were troopers, so were the mommies :)

These girls cam be so silly . We just got back after being dumped on. Now sunshine came out , but more weather was looming . Glad we left as we drove home in a huge rainstorm

The gem show

This weekend was the annual gem show here in durango. Lilja has always loved rocks and I think we have sparked a passion. What was very cute was that she got many stone free as the merchants Saud they wanted to instill a love for rocks fir the kids . Lilja had brought her own money to buy rocks , which helped the "free giving " . She even got a 35 dollar Mexican Opal for 1 dollar !! I wish I was 7 !

Lilja went to a little program here in our subdivision and they learned about animal prints .

We go to the little river probably three times a week. This time lilja wanted to take Pip with her . He loved it !!

Happy 4th of July and more

Happy 4th everyone ! Our little town of Bayfield always does a great job of making it feel festive . Breakfast in the morning, followed by the cutest parade , a party after that and wonderful fireworks over the field . Friends around, music and lilja having tons of fun. This summer is just a blast . We also visited aran's best friend Matt and his family to say good bye as they are moving to Virginia to start lawschool. Good luck Matt!! And the rest of the photos are just lots of fun things goibg on with our family . Enjoy !

Happy 4th from us !!

We love that we can take Pip with us on our canoe rides. He is small enough and seems to enjoy it. Stays calm and sometimes even falls asleep right there in front .

This was my view to the back. This was lilja's idea. But aran and I had a huge workout. That was heavy

Lilja loves Eleanor and alice ..Eleanor loves to play the big sister  and alice and lilja seem to have the same imagination, getting lost in all kinds of play.

Swimming classes again this year. She seems a little more fearful, so let's keep going.

Happy anniversary honey !! 11 years. You still make me have butterflies, make me laugh till i have tears in my eyes , supports me through thick and thin and are the best partner in this adventure called parenthood ...love you to the moon and back !!
