Finally snow !!

We finally got a nice little snow storm..so the Johnsons always go on a nice "play" hike . Lilja is such a snow girl !! Just falling, rolling, running and just getting as much snow in her hair as she could ..snow fights are a must !!

Happy birthday to my hubby .. you are catching up !! Love you so much, you are my rock, my calm, my laughs and love . Here's to another year !!

Because the weather has been so mice, lilja still keeps on riding .  Arms are down, she is posting better and heels are down for the most part. She is a chatterbox up there , so relaxed and so determined .. love to see her so happy !!

Yep, she got an American doll ..in English riding gear no less !! We found her at an equine ranch thrift store.. so lucky ..Lilja so happy !#

Lilja and miranda

I hope you guys are not getting sick of all these horse pictures and stories . This is pretty much what our lives have become .. horse riding lessons and then some .. There are two horses lilja gets to ride ..Chingy and Miranda .. this is miranda ..lilja's favorite , I think ..however they are two very different horses . Miranda is actually a pony. She is small fir her age. Just like lilja ;) miranda likes to go fast . ..and lilja does too. However she does not like to jump ( or at this point, go over those poles) that's what Chingy likes to do. He likes to go over the poles while trotting and you might have seen him hop before he trots..Lilja loves that!! So lilja is excited to ride either one . Dana shakes her head sometimes that lilja has no fear, loves to go fast and loves riding ...and talks up a storm at the same time...where does she get that from I wonder :)

Horse vs lilja ..Lilja won !

So apparently horses can start testing your patience just like children do . So today miranda started testing lilja . Dana told lilja that , now that lilja is getting better and stronger, miranda is apparently starting to defy her. So they worked on showing miranda who was boss.. I was so impressed with lilja as the class was the hardest one she had had . And I never saw lilja get frustrated or angry..just more determined .. watch her face in these photos.. priceless. So where I am making the video I had Chingy and two other horses chewing on my jacket .  Miranda wanted to be with then so she would stop at the gate to get out .. here they are working on lilja making her keep trotting passed the gate . They did this over and over again ..when I told lilja that I was proud of how she handled herself,  that many kids would cry or give up or get angry .. she said she knew that dana would talk her through it .. smart cookie !!

Last couple of weeks

Last couple of weeks have been a windwhirl.. last days of school and surprise riding lessons as the winter did not arrive .. one day of snow and then in the 50's!!

These next couple of photos is he biggest reason we decided to have lilja ride ... enough said ..
