new fashion statement

Our yard is turning into quite the sled area.. It is just beautiful outside, so a new fashion trend has emerged.. a silver down vest.. Lilja loves the "sparkly" vest.. great job Oma!!

what a ham!!!

OK two videos showing you what a ham this little peanut is starting to be.. She is a fun, sweet and silly girl , that at this point is talking like a three year old and does not stop talking!! hmmm wonder who she gets that from??
p.s the bowl of fruit is out of her way and getting it involves getting in her learning tower, climbing on the counter and pulling this big bowl towards her.. she must have been hungry.. and she was.. the bathtub video was last night...I heard Daddy and Lilja singing.. she was making up a whole song...

OK, I know it looks like Lilja is saying "momma, what did you do to me tonight".. but she loved this hairband.. We were at a party and Lilja played with this hairband all night.. It did turn into a throwing party though..

Jasmin send Lilja a x-mas present.. and Lilja loved them.. They are turtles and owls shaped crayons.. Lilja's favorite animals.. plus she loves to color.. Thanks Jasmin, she really loved your present!

As you probably remember, my camera died this Summer when I was in Seattle visiting the whole t'sas family and my sisiter, Brigitte. I knew someone had taken really cute pictures and just found out it was my Aunt Dara, as they made a cute slideshow about their year and in it were these photos.. So here is an encore of Seattle..
Only the girls went to Seattle and Lilja stayed home with the two Uncles and the girls..

afternoon x-mas walk

After a wonderful morning full of Skyping, calling and opening presents, we went for a walk after she woke up from her nap. She is really running so fast now.. merry -x-mas everyone.. from Lilja!!

Well, our x-mas morning has passed..Lilja did great, besides getting up twice in the night.. must have been the excitment of waiting for Santa to come..
Aran and I got Lilja one big gift, her very first doll house. it is almost just as big as she is ;) she played with it almost the whole morning.. i bought some extra furniture with it, including a toilet.. well, she had that baby on the toilet A LOT (Lilja is almost completely potty trained, just at night she still needs some help from the diapers)

Then a lamby came out of a box.. Thanks Uncle Eddy, Aunt dara and Livy and Ries for this cute pillow and blanket.. she has been snuggling with it already..

It is a pillow wrapped around a blanket.. clever.. I think this will go with us to holland for travels..

Another favorite toy was from Tae, a whole cutting board with vegetables to cut.. very cool.

Thank you Aunt Margaret, Uncle Hansi and cousin Tae..!!.

Then it was time for Momma to clean up!!! so daddy and Lilja went sledding in the backyard..

Lilja is really not afraid .. i think she is going to love the winters here, skiing and sledding , she just has to be a little bigger for her own skies..

We found Lilja's sunglasses and they still fit!!.

new door!!

We got an amazing present from Grandpa and grandmi, a new front door. Mind you our old one had a breeze coming through it, that you thought a door was open.. This one is gorgeous.. There was a misunderstanding about the color.. It needs to be stained.. so that yellow color is not the door completed.. it is an "oak skin" that you then stain with a gel for the right color.. We are waiting for the guy to finish, that's why these photos are a little late.. sorry... we will post the finished product as soon as it is done.. p.s a new Mission style light will also be installed.. so pretty!!!

tada... love the hardware??? had to get the nicest one, for the prettiest door ;)

now we have to put tiles in the entrance way to make the door look even more pretty, doesn't that always happen?? There is so much light coming in, even from these three little windows.. we are so happy with our choice.. Thanks Grandpa and grandmi!!

Lilja and I had to go to Pier One to buy some presents.. well, Lilja would not get out of this beanbag..Some moms buy candy for their child.. I buy a beanbag.. It is so soft, big and I love to sit on the floor, now my bum won't fall asleep.. ;) but I have a feeling i will have to fight over it with my little peanut..

Last weekend we took Lilja sledding, she was not a 100% so the sledding took maybe a couple of minutes, but she started out having fun..

Lilja is definitely not afraid of speed..

I think the snowsuit will have to come out soon.. she was a little chilly..

Vegas is a horse from Caroline that we pet sometimes, Lilja called this toy Vegas right away.. "Calm your body" is a saying I say when Lilja goes crazy.. Funny that that saying comes back in playing..

ginger bread... train??

The men were going to watch football so I thought it would be fun to decorate a gingerbread train during the game.. Grandpa did the construction of the train and grandma, myself and Lilja decorate the train with all our might.
