swimming, th children's museum and running in the cold..

we have started Lilja in swimming lessons this month, unfortunately she got sick, so we are back to square one. New teacher as the other one was a little inpatient (long story) but we got the better end of the stick. Ms Sue is amazing and you could see how much they trusted her right from the beginning. Both girls learned by leaps and bounds. Here the girls had to lay on their backs to get their hair wet.. it is shallow water but just enough to let them feel their buoyancy (per Ms Sue)  

Now they are in deeper water and Lilja had to relax in Ms Sue's arms..She had a hard time, but at the end she did it!!

Here they are monkeys and are learning they can be safe on the side of the deep pool, Yes, it is that deep.. without floaties!!! Momma was pretty nervous, that's why she is getting lessons!!

Jumping of the side!! Lilja did it, We have been trying to have her do it, but she never dared.. now look at her. After the lesson, we all went swimming and she even jumped to me!! So proud of my little peanut!

still a little timid, but at the end she really relaxed.. Ms Sue was the best teacher and I am so grateful she will be the girls teacher!

Aan was gone to his grandma's funeral so Lilja and I had a lot of momma/ daughter time..What to do when it is raining outside? The children's museum!! We got there just in time to have Lilja hold a baby chick..,

all by herself..

the little chick was a little shaky but after Lilja put her hands over it, it calmed down and almost fell asleep in her hands.

Lilja has been very interested in bones after Maddie broke her arm. Lilja wants to be  bone doctor..OK, no problem with us wink wink.. so let's go with it... Here she saw a x-ray ad sat there for a while..  

Running doggies in the wind and hail... We were a little cold so we did a race

Lilja s a great runner, and we must have ran two miles!!!

I think Lilja won, when she ended up on my shoulders and we ran the rest of the way
